🎸 Long Island Music History: 1988 - Original Concept. Original Concept consisted of members T.C.D. (aka Tariq L., The Classic Dap), DJ Doctor Dré, and The Mighty Ha. They were signed to Def Jam Recordings and released their debut album, "Straight from the Basement of Kooley High!" in 1988. Originally called Concept crew, the group broadcasted on Adelphi University radio.

Long Island, Did You Know? 💧🌿
Georgica Pond in East Hampton is a rare coastal spot where freshwater springs bubble up inside a salt marsh. Swimmers have long reported a slightly sweet taste near the spring outlets — caused by cool groundwater flowing beneath Montauk Highway and feeding the pond year-round.

🏡 The shoreline has attracted big names over the years
🌊 The springs help support birds, fish, and a healthy lagoon ecosystem
🕵️♂️ And yes… there were once rumors the pond was secretly drained after a presidential visit
