Long Island — Did You Know? 🏐

Trangleball is a little-known ball game that originated on Fire Island in the early 1950s, credited to Fire Island resident Mark Miller.

The game uses a pyramid-shaped target and blends elements of handball, beach volleyball, and tennis, designed for casual outdoor play — especially on the beach.

While never becoming mainstream, Trangleball is still played by small groups today, making it one of Long Island’s more unusual homegrown games.

A strange idea.
A simple design.
A very Long Island invention.
