Each step you take toward your dream is a big deal!

So enjoy the journey and celebrate the pivotal moments.

The journey you’ll take to your dream is uniquely yours.

Don’t put so much pressure on yourself and rush through it.

“It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.” Ursula K. LeGuin

The journey is actually more important than the destination because your growth during the journey is invaluable.

When you can look back at the progress you’ve made, you’ll find fulfillment.

You’ll also be able to point to some very pivotal moments.

Acknowledgement of milestones helps you gauge how far you’ve come and motivates you to keep going.

Want the whole scoop? I dive deep into all of this in the full article on my website!

Nelson Mandela once said: “Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.”

I've got news I've been holding close — and I'm finally ready to say it out loud.

I'm now booking speaking engagements for 2026. 🎤

For years, I quietly said yes to invitations as they came. Podcasts. Online summits. Small gatherings near home. Opportunities in Kenya.

But I never built a front door for it.

Now I have.

Here's the thing I keep coming back to:

I don't just speak at events. I build and run them.

Every year, I host the She Steps Forward International Women's Conference — and not in one city, but across two continents. The U.S. and Kenya. Different languages, different cultures, the same God-sized mission: equipping women to step into their calling.

So I know what it takes to fill a room, hold an audience, and send women home changed — because I've stood on both sides of the stage.

I've also founded an LLC and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit from the ground up. I've sat in the messy middle of "God, this dream is too big for me" more times than I can count — and I've learned to build anyway.

When I speak, I'm not handing your audience theory.

I'm handing them frameworks. Action plans. The next right step.

Because inspiration fades by Monday. Strategy doesn't.

Whether your audience is a room of 20 or a conference of 500, whether the theme is faith-based entrepreneurship, calling, leadership, or marketplace ministry — my heart is the same:

To send women home with clarity they didn't walk in with, and the confidence to actually move.

If you're planning a women's conference, a Christian business event, a church leadership gathering, or a nonprofit summit this year — I'd love to pray about whether I'm the right fit for your audience.

Let's talk about your event. 👇

Consider this: The size of our dream determines the length of our journey.

If our dream is big, the gap between visualization and manifestation will also be big.

This simply means, big dreams take time!

Earl Nightingale said: “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”

I mean, there’s a lot of steps that go on between visualizing our dream and seeing our dream manifest.

This is why initially the mission statement of She Steps Forward Coaching was: “Empowering everyday women to chase God-sized dreams by bridging the gap between their vision and their destiny.”

I want to help you make continual progress toward your dream.

Continual progress will help fill the gap and increase your level of fulfillment.

It’s important that we dream big dreams and then have the patience to work through the process of seeing them come to life.

Trust me, there's SO much more encouragement where this came from - read the full article on my website!

"The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena."

Theodore Roosevelt said that in 1910. I didn't understand it until 2008.

That was the year my arena got dusty.

I had built an identity. Nurse practitioner. A career I could name. A version of myself that made sense on paper. And then came the year I now call my Job (like Job in the Bible) moment—the stripping away, the questions I couldn't answer, the kind of season where you find out what you actually believe when the floor gives out.

Here's what I learned in that arena, and what I wish someone had told me sooner:

The stumbling is not a sign you're failing. It's the proof you showed up.

Roosevelt's words land differently when you've lived them. "Who errs, who comes short again and again." Notice he doesn't say the woman in the arena gets it right. He says she's in it. Marred by dust. Striving anyway.

I think about the women on the sidelines of their own callings right now. The ones who can see the arena—who feel the pull toward the thing God placed in them—but who are waiting until they feel ready. Until the fear quiets. Until they're sure they won't come up short.

Friend, you will come up short. There is no effort without error. That's not me being discouraging. That's me setting you free.

The cold and timid souls Roosevelt describes—the ones who "neither know victory nor defeat"—they stay clean because they never enter. But clean is not the same as called.

My 2008 didn't ruin me. It rebuilt me. And the dust on my face became part of the testimony.

Whatever arena you're standing at the edge of today: the One who called you in is already standing in it with you.

Dare greatly. 🤍

Is your dream bringing you true fulfillment?

In his book, Cure for the Common Life: Living in Your Sweet Spot, Max Lucado describes our God-given sweet spot as: “A zone, a region, a life precinct in which you were made to dwell. He tailored the curves of your life to fit an empty space in his jigsaw puzzle. And life makes sense when you find your spot.”

Friend, your dream is probably the manifestation of your God-given sweet spot! And when you lean into it, not only will life make sense, but your life will also be fulfilling.

To maintain that sense of fulfillment throughout life, there are a few things we need to be aware of while dream building.

Our dream versus its realization

There’s the dream we visualize and then there’s the dream that materializes. The fact of the matter is that the dream we first visualize is rarely the dream we end up with, but the dream we end up with is usually so much better.

Size of our dream determines the length of our journey

If our dream is big, the gap between visualization and manifestation will also be big. This simply means, big dreams take time!

Continuing to dream

We can continue to expand our dream, while we work toward our initial goals. By continuing to dream and exploring how our dream could be made better, we only heighten our creativity.

Enjoy the journey

The journey is actually more important than the destination because your growth during the journey is invaluable. When you can look back at the progress you’ve made, you’ll find fulfillment.

I’m guessing you’ve heard this before: Your words matter!

This one is so important.

If you’re building a dream, what are you saying to yourself?

Do you worry about the words of others when you may be your own worst enemy?

Take inventory today. What are you saying about your dream and its chances of success?

If you are speaking negatively about your dream, you can’t expect others to speak positively concerning it.

Choose to speak and fill the atmosphere with positive words, that will carry you toward your dream.

Allowing frustration, disappointment, and failure to rule the day only impedes progress.

I often think of King David when I get down and out. I think about how he encouraged himself through some of the darkest periods of his life (1 Samuel 30:6).

There will be days when you have to encourage yourself and command your dream to follow suit.

As G.T. Froese said, “Speak your dreams not your doubts, speak your faith not your fears; what you give voice to you give power to in your life!”

I'm just getting warmed up here! The full article on my website has everything you need to know.

Can I be honest with you for a second?

When God first placed a dream in my heart, I did what most of us do — I thanked Him, got excited for about 48 hours… and then quietly panicked.

How am I going to make this happen?
Who’s going to take me seriously?
What if I fail?

Sound familiar?

Here’s the truth: every single one of those questions came from ME leaning on my own understanding instead of leaning into the One who gave me the dream in the first place.

Proverbs 3:5-6 doesn’t say “Trust in the Lord AND figure it out yourself just in case.” It says trust Him with ALL your heart. Seek HIS will. And He — not you — will show you the path.

That shift changed everything for me. And it’s the very first of 8 mindset shifts I teach in my coaching guide, From Dreamer to Doer.

Inside, you’ll work through:

✔️ How to stop striving in your own strength and acknowledge God’s sovereignty
✔️ How to silence the comparison trap and know your worth as His masterpiece
✔️ How to develop rock-solid trust when circumstances look impossible
✔️ How to speak His promises with boldness over your business
✔️ How to move forward fearlessly — even when fear is loud

Each shift comes with scripture, personal reflection questions, and guided prayer so you’re not just reading — you’re growing.

It’s just $7, and it could be the thing that moves you from “I’ve been thinking about it” to “I’m doing it.”

Don’t quit!

Do you see your dream as a hobby or as something worth fighting for?

Then don’t quit!

We need to understand that if we quit, it will say more about us than about our dream.

Anyone who says they haven’t considered quitting about a half dozen times when building their dream is not being honest.

There are days when it just gets hard. Believe me, the temptation to quit has crossed the mind of every world changer.

But those who are sold out for their dream, take a deep breath, step back for a minute, and then get back in the chase.

The Bible says: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” (James 1:2-4 NLT)

Even though every day won’t flow the way we want, it is just a test.

We are stronger than we think.

As Harriet Beecher Stowe said, “Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”

Oh friend, this is just the beginning! Pop over to my website for the full article with all the details.

05/19/2026

I graduated from Jakes Divinity School in partnership with Vanguard University with my Master of Arts in Theology, and I need to talk about what that journey did to me.

I didn't pursue this degree for a title. I pursued it because I was at an inflection point. I was hungry — truly hungry — to dive deeper into God's Word. Not surface level. Not devotional-style. I wanted to study scripture with the kind of rigor and reverence it deserves.

But I also wanted something else: to experience the Word through eyes that weren't my own.

And that's exactly what I got.

I studied alongside brothers and sisters in Christ who didn't look like me, didn't come from the same background as me, and didn't carry the same theological traditions I grew up in. I was stretched by charismatic and Pentecostal theology points that expanded my understanding. And for someone whose mission spans both the United States and Africa through She Steps Forward International — that growth wasn't optional. It was essential.

When you're building something that crosses borders and cultures, YOU have to grow first.

But I would be wrong not to talk about Dr. Felisha Ford, Dean of Jakes Divinity School.

This woman. A phenomenal woman of God. A leader among leaders. A champion of her students in every sense of the word. I was honored to receive the 2022-2023 Outstanding Student Award, and I hold that close. But honestly? I am more grateful for the time I got to watch her lead. Her encouragement, her belief in what I am doing, and the grace she extends to every student she touches — it left a mark on me that no diploma could.

We all need role models. She's an outstanding one.

If you're at a crossroads right now — wondering if it's time to go deeper, to invest in your own growth, to stretch beyond what's comfortable — let me encourage you.

Do it. The building requires it. And so does your calling.

Thank you Dr. Felisha Ford!!!
