We are looking for a sharp, motivated, and versatile Production and Maintenance Lead to help out in an array of areas in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED production floor. This position will allow you to really “flex your muscles” in the areas of machinery maintenance, repair, and light fabrication as well as a variety of other tasks. Position Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Machine Maintenance and Repair ~
• Troubleshoot and repair disruptions to production machinery – Hot Foil, Casemaker750, Soft Cover, Roll Coater, V Tower, Book Binding machines etc….
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance of machinery
• Assist with development and construction of prototypes
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on PLC’s, VFD drives, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locate sources of problems by observing electrical/mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Disassembles, repairs and reassembles or replaces defective electrical equipment such as plugs, switches, outlets, controls, ballasts, motors and appliances using hand tools, test equipment and service manuals.
• inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Responsible for reading, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, sketches and drawings.
Machine Operation ~
• Operate various manufacturing equipment listed, but not limited to those, under Machine Maintenance.
• Follow specific directions as needed, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Utilize basic measuring, math, and computer skills.
• Work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
Additional Responsibilities ~
• Executes special projects as assigned
• Communicates with engineers at parent company in Belgium; should be able to articulate and understand appropriate terminology
• Minor fabrication to machines as needed
• Operates stand-up forklift
• Additional duties as assigned
Desired Experience:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience within a Production environment managing manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance
• High level of attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels and across departments
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity
• Excellent math skills
• Past experience with power tools and hand tools
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings
• Strong technical ability, both with computers and machinery.
• Prior forklift certification a plus.
• CAD experience and light fabrication a plus

• High level of manual dexterity and fine motor skill usage
• Ability to work shifts 8 hours in duration or longer
• Ability to travel up to 5%
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the equipment and noise levels of a typical manufacturing and office environment, which may include hot/cold temperatures based upon seasonal conditions, temperature range of 35 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and exposure to humidity, noise, odors, and dust. The employee is expected to adhere to all safety rules and regulations accordingly.
