Two ears, one mouth - we were built to listen. However, it's rare that people actively listen - stripping away distractions and preconceptions to really hear, process and understand what another person is telling us. When we listen deeply we hear the differences. Differences in backgrounds, in experiences and expectations. Recognizing, acknowledging and relaying these differences is vital if we want to create diverse organizations that represent the people they seek to serve.
