I know after a very prolific excessive force incident all over the news it can be easy to not see the big picture at times.
This is a Memphis police officer who just saved the life of a 17 yr old who had recently became a father and on the brink of su***de.

“Texas State Trooper Tim Matthews (THP Texarkana) recently competed in the Las Vegas International Powerlifting League-Olympia Pro Powerlifting meet.

He placed 2nd in the Men’s Super-heavy-weight Class with a bench press of 551.5 lbs.

His dedication to physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle helps to set an example that promotes the Texas Department of Public Safety’s mission. Way to go Trooper Matthews”!!

GOOD NEWS SUNDAY!

This young man got a flat tire on the way to his job interview. Sheriff Chad Chronister pulled over to help him and found out he was running late. Sheriff wanted to make sure he got to his interview and drove him there. A few days later, HCSO received a call that he got the job! 🎉

Job Description

Hours: Friday-Monday 1000 hrs-2000 hrs (4 positions available to include full time, part time and float)

Float Positions: 0-40 hours per week, on call “as needed” to fill in vacation/sick calls/staff shortages, with little to no notice. Potential to become Full-Time or Part-Time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current MD/DC/VA Guard Card (or ability to obtain one within 30 days)
- Prior Security, Military or Police experience preferred
- Interpersonal communications and Customer Service skills
- Ability to write and compose incident reports and daily logs utilizing correct English grammar and composition, in a legible manner
