And just like I'm FULL!!!!

Well kinda, in past 9 days since my last post about opening up we've had about 60 bird dropped off. So unless ive already talked to you im not going to be accepting any more birds until December some time. Need to spent next month or 2 mounting to make more room.

I should have room to take about 100 or so more once I get the space in my freezers opened up.

Duck season is here! And we have room again!

Glad to say we have been able to get caught back up in shop since the rush of turkey season. And we will have availability to accept birds starting next week. If i have contacted you from my wait list please reach out to drop off bird as soon as you can. As space is still limited and I won't hold spots forever.

I'm not starting a list as of now and will not be holding spots for potential birds that may or may not be taken this season.

So if you get a good mature bird this weekend or still have one in freezer from last season give the shop a call to set up a drop off time.

Good luck everyone, stay safe out there and thank you as always for the support and trusting us with your trophies!

Shop hrs- Mon-Fri 9am-5pm by appointment only

FIELD PREP!!!!!!!!!!

***WE ARE ACCEPTING TURKEYs****

Still full on waterfowl but accepting all turkey mounts spring of 2026! This is field prep for anyone bringing me a bird. Extra charges will apply if not skinned MY WAY or has been breasted.

Link on how to cape a bird properly, this mainly for out of state hunters or guys traveling. Or if need to freeze bird to drop off at later date, video shows how to remove tail to prevent being damaged when bagging up.

Another good weekend as always at the Virginia Taxidermy Association convention. Always a good time seeing old friends and making new ones sharing new and different techniques in the taxidermy field. This year I was asked to give a turkey seminar, and mounted a full strut bird infront of class full of people. Completed with 2 turkeys in the masters division I harvested last spring. Bringing home:

2-first place ribbons in masters division

Taxidermist choice best bird of show

Masters State Champion Bird

SHOP UPDATE:

We WILL BE accepting turkeys this spring! Still plan on taking as many turkeys as we can this spring. Turkeys only. No waterfowl will be accepted during turkey season

Wait list for waterfowl is currently full, I will not be added anymore people to the 26/27 waitlist until after turkey season this spring.

I will be starting on '25 spring turkeys next week and trying to get them back to yall as soon as possible and to open up more freezer space. Did have close to 100 come in last spring so If you dropped off in May or later probably wont have yours done until june/ july.
