🚨 VANDALS DESTROYED THIS HVAC SYSTEM!

During this home inspection, we discovered major damage caused by vandals who entered the property and stripped components from the HVAC air handler located in the attic. They didn’t stop there—the attic ductwork had also been stepped on and crushed flat, leaving portions of the HVAC distribution system severely damaged.

This is what can happen when a vacant or unoccupied property is not properly secured.

Vandalism can result in stolen HVAC components, damaged electrical wiring, destroyed ductwork, plumbing theft, broken doors and windows, and other costly damage. Even worse, some of that damage may not be obvious until someone performs a thorough inspection of the property.

⚠️ If a home has been vacant, foreclosed, abandoned, or unsecured for any period of time, NEVER assume everything is still intact.

Crushed or disconnected ductwork can severely restrict airflow and reduce HVAC performance, while missing or damaged equipment can result in thousands of dollars in repairs or replacement costs.
