This! 🗣️

We are building something different in the Lowcountry!
When I started The Duck Blind, I had a pretty simple goal. I wanted a shop where where every bird gets the attention it deserves. I’m not interested in turning out hundreds of cookie-cutter mounts. I want to recreate with custom habitats the moment that bird was harvested. I see a mounted bird as only part of the equation when it comes to preserving the memory.
We are still growing and I genuinely appreciate everyone who’s followed the page, shared a post, or supported my vision so far!

Sincerely,
🦆 The Duck Blind Family

The only thing scary about us is our current turnaround time! 8-10 weeks!!! That’s spooky fast!!

Just a quick little post about our intake process since it’s been a shock to a few customers so far.
✅ Roughly inspect birds and gather customer information
✅Customer leaves the birds with us with rough posing ideas
✅We let birds thaw overnight and inspect the next day for damage or pin feathers and realistic poses that are achievable
✅Once decisions are made, poses discussed with customer we text an invoice for the deposit
✅Once we receive the deposit your bird gets put in line for the mounting process

Doing it this way eliminates us taking money for birds, only to find out they aren’t going to be a good mount or worth spending the money in if you have a better bird. We are always looking to give you the best mount possible with what we are given.

After multiple calls and messages, I’ve decided to offer a $75 discount to all new customers. This brings your price to $300 per duck. I’m doing this because I understand what it’s like taking an animal to a different taxidermist than you’re used to. It’s a trust thing and I get that. I’m here to build trust and build a relationship through the thing I love most in life, the outdoors and hunting. I’m a hunter myself. I know the cold mornings, the long nights before, the preparation, that goes into the harvest of even a single duck. Good luck this season and hope to see you soon!

I’ve had so many messages asking about pricing I figured I would share this again. $375 per duck any pose you want. Mount comes on your choice of artificial driftwood or a ghost hanger. For those once in a lifetime birds we do offer custom habitat scenes. Those are priced in addition to the mount. Dm us or you can call or text 843-695-9847 if you have any questions
