2025-26 deer season is a wrap unless Lily pulls one out of the hat this evening in this wind. The boys had a decent year. I was blessed with the best year i've ever had. We harvested 8 bucks and 4 does as a family.

There are a lot of factors that go into antler growth. Genetics, nutrition, stress, but they will never reach their potential without age. This is probably one of the best examples I have had of what one year can do. Granted last growing season we dealt with a drought and we had a good growing season this year. I am guessing he was 115 last if he didn't break his g2 off but I know he scored 138 this yr .

With two little brothers now and her busy schedule we don't get to hunt together much anymore but yesterday for her 19th birthday. I was her spotter agian. We mostly just got cold, but we trying to pull one last buck out of the hat at the end of the season. She has a pretty good track record.

He was a broke up 9 pt last yr that I decided not to hunt and try and see if he could make it another year and i'm glad he did. 19 inch inside spread , 21 inch beams. The ones with a lot of history mean just a little more .
