1️⃣3️⃣ has always been my lucky number - and my Executive Coaching practice is keeping it real. This year is my 13th year in business and it’s shaping up to be my best one yet.

I helped more and ace Zoom interviews, land , get on and be better than ever before.

📈 I'm coaching my record number of C-suite executives — specifically CEOs, CMOs, GCs and Heads of Legal. 

🗄 I doubled my Corporate business - including a just-added Fortune 10 company.

🗣I added 2 universities and 1 new Tech company to my Speaking / Events business.

Growing my business and impact in 2022 as I hit that magic number “13” feels good.

New year, new headshot! This photo was taken in October. Thanks to one of my favorite Viacom/CBS Execs, I got to attend "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Speaking of headshots, more than 48% of people I surveyed on LinkedIn haven’t changed their LinkedIn headshot in 5+ years.

One of the first things I discuss with clients around is their LinkedIn — profile, headshot, headline, summary, media, etc.

Uploading a new headshot is a great LinkedIn algorithm tease and ranks you higher. It's true! If you who are still using your original (!) or haven't changed in 5-6 years...please do.

Lesson here is that you don’t need a professional studio shot for LinkedIn. But your shot should be current, look like you, and not have any background distractions. If your headshot is over 5 years old, time to update.

She got the job offer - then she negotiated - they bumped it ⬆️ 17% - and then she accepted!

Here’s a photo from my vacation when I got the news. Yes, I truly celebrate my clients success.

Helping people navigate their careers at any stage of life is incredibly rewarding. I am particularly proud of this recent “win” because my client experienced a radical mindset shift and achieved success far greater (and faster) than she ever imagined.

When we met in October for our initial SuperSession, she was worried about (having been at her current company 14 years) and wondering how a from for-profit to non-profit works. She 100% expected to take a pay cut and anticipated a long and painful search process.

Also important was leveling up her . At her current company, she felt invisible.

In the end, her entire job search journey was 4 months to the day. She changed industries, pivoted to nonprofit, leveraged her transferable skills on her and , got really good at interviews, for the fist time EVER (!!), and didn’t take a pay cut. To say that I’m thrilled for her is an understatement.

Grateful to my clients for putting their trust in me. 🙏

I want to thank you all for your support in 2020! Having a sense of purpose and helping others has enabled me to remain positive and to get through this incredibly challenging time. 
 
I feel so grateful to have had the chance to help a record number of people across more geographies, demographics, ages and career stages than I ever imagined possible.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 I am thinking about all of you today. We have all experienced “pandemic pivots” this year, and I just want to say thank you for being part of mine - and for helping me grow my business beyond anything I could have imagined. 

In 2020, I rebranded my signature workshop as The Career Accelerator Lab. It starts Tuesday and includes the content and game-changing tools you know (2-Minute Story, STARs, Executive Presence, etc.) — plus a lot of new content around optimizing LinkedIn.

December is THE best month of the year to look for a job. Why? Because budgets start fresh in January and there's a big uptick in Q1 hiring. So, I am offering special holiday pricing for December’s Career Accelerator Lab!

It may seem counterintuitive, but December is the best month to look for a job. Why? Because budgets start fresh in January, and there's a big uptick in Q1 hiring.

Also, the best "weak ties" networking happens between Thanksgiving & Christmas...and weak ties are how people grow careers!

This December, as always, I will be hosting my biggest Career Accelerator Workshop of the year. But this year it will be on Zoom - instead of inside 30 Rock Center overlooking NY’s most famous Christmas Tree.

The silver lining is that job seekers from across the country (and world!) can participate.
