Time for transplanting cabbage, cauliflower, and brussel sprout seedlings. We started them inside.

Also got started preparing 4 freshly dispatched rabbits. Roasted 2 of them whole, they're now in the fridge to be shredded tomorrow. Side flaps and some odd pieces will be ground for burge/sausage meat tomorrow.
Made Bunny Nuggies/Tenders with some bigger chunks and strips.

Tender, moist, rich, shredded meat 😁🤤

I remembered, before it was too late--to clean the gizzards before cooking 😃

Beautiful start to January 2026. Gardens are doing well. Rabbits, Quail, and Chickens are all happy and productive.

Regenerating Sonora and Edmund Williams provided the amazing LEHR Garden that the eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes grew in.

Regenerating Sonora and others ❤️ If you have a LEHR Garden or any other situation with standing water, these are biological mosquito control. Natural larvacide, prevents the larva from maturing. Not toxic to anything but larvae in the water. Won't harm birds, dogs, etc.
Feed stores typically carry this with the brand name Mosquito Dunks.

Regenerating Sonora , lots of life in the LEHR❤️ Squashes. Starting to flower, radishes, chard, and spinach popping up. Broccoli, peppers, and tomatoes looking great. Eggplant is taking its time, but doing okay.

Shout Out to Regenerating Sonora and Ed with LEHR Gardens!

LEHR stands for Linking Ecosystem and Hardware for Regeneration. This garden bed not only saves water, but it creates its own soil and biodiversity.

The bed is preloaded with chipped/chopped/shredded woods, biochar, and some mulch. We super inoculated it with Bunny Honey, aka rabbit p**p. There is a reservoir that collects the water that has drained through the soil/mulch. Twice a day a bilge/sump pump pulls the water from the reservoir and dumps it in the compost bed box. The water then passes through a screen and through the bed.

There is a sprinkler setup on the top for starting seeds. We have some chard and radish seeds planted. Once they sprout I'll pause the sprinklers. The moisture running through the bed is sufficient for rooted plants.

We have a couple of small Hydroponics setups in the house. We like to start the seeds then transplant.

Our goal is to provide healthy soil, vegetables/greens for ourselves and our community.

This is a fantastic community project! About 1% of the homes in Superior now have these gardens, more to come!
