Expressive Design I work by appointment with my clients to make their home a natural, comfortable and fabulous expression of them as individuals and what they love.

I'm Ashley Carlson and have been doing design work since 1999. I've designed thousands of rooms with many clients at my families home fashion store, Lurye's and have decided to branch out to my own business since. My services are from anything as small as room design or layout and paint color selection at an hourly rate, to ordering from my quality lines I carry to install and finish your room and make it uniquely yours. It’s true…no windows NEED WINDOW TREATMENTS. However…can we take a moment and give them the credit they deserve?
This small addition has the ability to:

1- make your ceilings appear taller

2- soften a space completely

3- give light control

4- frame a window to make it appear even larger

5- lastly, they just spark JOY!

Oh how I love a blank canvas like this one….with that being said, not all design projects start that way! So if you have some treasures or items you still love that bring you joy, by all means let’s work them into your new space!

How does a project roll out from start to finish….it usually begins with a pre-consult to chat about any ideas or expressions of comfort my client would like to see in their space. Then begins the designing and collaboration of textures, colors and expression. You can expect to see a vision/collage board paired with fabrics/finishes and colors to see and touch, to bring your space to life!

I truly couldn’t be more blessed for the amazing clients I have and this one is no exception, she’s truly amazing. As turn around times (post covid) are starting to get closer to what they were, I’m thankful for the patience and kindness I’ve been graced with to get through these adjustments. Here’s a fun before and after to make this beautiful spring day even sweeter! Ive also include the visual design boards I use to help my clients see the vision.

This master bedroom maybe small but it’s mighty! What a better place to come rest your head than this right here! We were spatially challenged but got it done with a bed that had drawers built into the footboard and some fantastic marble top storage nightstands and wall swinging lamps to save space! What a fun little space to create! ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
