POTHOLE REPORT #13 (Repost)

POTHOLE REPORT OF THE WEEK: #13, May 6.

An ongoing public report from Stephen Kedlarchuk, councilmember.

I said last week that whether I won or lost the election, I would continue fighting for the citizens of Surfside to get our streets repaired. I came up short, but I’m still committed to making our streets fit to drive on. So here is my next Pothole of the Week – a second one on Ocean Drive.

***** If you would like me to remain on Council fighting for your best interests, know that the new Council will appoint a member to fill Marsha Hines’ vacant seat when she moves up to be Mayor on May 12. With enough citizen support, I could remain on Council pushing to stop tax and rate increases and get our potholes fixed. If you want that, please email councilmembers to voice your support of me. (addresses below.) Thank you! *****

Who’s coming to play CINCO DE MAYO PLANT BINGO AT THE SHACK TOMORROW NIGHT❤️

05/02/2026

If we were required to show proof of residency to eat at the Salty Pelican the past few nights, were we also expected to VOTE there too? I don’t think so….
But I believe the management was looking for our honest feedback in regard to their so called daily “SOFT” openings.

Several days ago, I posted on local Facebook sites; “WHO’S GOING TO THE SALTY PELICAN TONIGHT”? After serious thought, I decided to wait until after this weekend to post my critique on this new establishment. My thoughts are to review all our resident’s replies and comments and then post a review with mine and their input. That should be fair, don’t you think?

Y’all enjoy the Salty Pelican today and through the weekend. Be sure to send me your feedback on the local Facebook site of your choice.

POTHOLE REPORT OF THE WEEK:
April 22, No.11 REPOST

An ongoing public report from Stephen Kedlarchuk
Council Member

This week’s report shows the list of unfilled potholes is just getting longer. I met with the new city administrator and asked him to give Council the dates by which these potholes will be filled. It just takes about $50 and a little time to go fill a pothole. Raise your voice about getting this work done. Your voice counts! Contact city hall and tell them you want some action. 979-233-1531.
More requests for pothole repairs are coming in, including new ones on Santar Loop and Ray’s Way.

Thank you for helping make pothole repairs a village priority -- after 19 months of bumpy rides. Keep sending pothole addresses for repairs. There’s no excuse for these months’ long delays! They fixed two big potholes for the St. Patty’s Day parade in just 2 weeks! Together..., WE can do it....!
