The next Entry Level and Refresher course will be held in Central Point, OR.

New Applicants are encouraged to stop by our office next week to fill out an application.

Potential firefighters must be 18 years of age or older during the fire season and be able to pass the Pack Test.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our own, Larry Eckelman.

After a stint with health problems, he passed away Monday afternoon surrounded by family and friends.

Larry was a wildland firefighter for over 20 years, a Crew Boss, instructor, teacher, father, brother, cousin, son, nephew, friend, and so much more.
He will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 @ 1:00 pm at Allen and Dahl Funeral Home in Palo Cedro and a graveside prayer at his final resting place, the Millville Cemetery. From there, his Aunt Donna will be hosting a BBQ for his family, friends and “work family” to have that BBQ with his family he has spoken of.

Our hearts go out to Larry's family and friends.

The family has expressed that monetary donations are not needed at this time.

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Mike’s Son, Tyler Eugene Dyer.
Tyler passed away on April 6, at the age of 37. Tyler has three beautiful young children Ellie,
Seth, and Phoenix. They are his greatest joy in life whether they were snowboarding, dirt biking,
playing video games or snuggling on the couch with a movie. He is so very proud of them and
never missed an opportunity to brag about them. Tyler has such a big heart and never hesitated
to let his family, and his friends know how much he loved us.
There will be a Graveside Service, which all friends and family are welcome to attend. Monday,
April 14, at 1:30 pm, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. 2201 North Phoenix Road, Medford, OR.
Following the service will be a gathering and celebration of Tyler’s life, location to be
announced. We are crushed with the loss of Tyler, please keep us in your prayers.

RT-130 is scheduled for the following dates and locations:

Medford Area
- Tuesday, February 18th at 08:30
- Saturday, March 1st at 08:30

Roseburg Area
- Saturday, February 22nd at 08:30
- Tuesday, March 2nd at 08:30

At this time, we are only accepting returning Diamond Fire folks. Any who are interested in Entry Level Training or Transferring will be welcome to apply at a later date.

It's a wrap Spokane!
Two Diamond employees traveled this past week to host the entry level class.
We had over 20 folks train and pack test.
