We had a GREAT first week at Spark Academy!! We learned new routines, adjusted those routines, met new friends, and learned all about insects!! Ask your children how to tell an insect 🐜 from a spider 🕷️!!

Michelle and I have a long list of people who helped us and supported us in the process of achieving this dream- and for that we are forever thankful! We are excited to have started on this adventure!! Here’s to lots of learning!

Tips for packing lunches!!

Have a protein , a grain, fruit and a veggie.

Protein ideas-lunch meat, hamburg, chicken, turkey, ham, steak- cheese in a dish like Mac and cheese. or a cheese stick.

Grains- bread, noodles, rice, couscous, tortilla

fruit- go with fruits you know your child likes-

Veggies - go with something your child likes- if your child does not like any veggies- give them something to try- you would be surprised what they will try when you’re not there!

We have milk available- and as always water. We will be able to heat up food as well-

Remember that food is fuel for your child!

A easy well rounded meal could be a cut-up a leftover grilled chicken, rice, broccoli and apples.

Where we started…. To what we created….

We are in the home stretch! Counting down the days to opening!
This dream started for us separately a few years ago… 2024 is when it began to come to fruition… as we met with families it truly felt like a dream come true! We are excited for our fist day at Spark Academy 1 week from today!!

Big day!! We had our inspection from the Fire Marshall…. And passed- now to get the report!!

We also had our first meet and greet! We had a great time getting to know the kids we met tonight!! So excited to start learning and playing together!!

Meet Morgan

My name is Morgan; I will be 29 years old in August, and I started attending Michelle’s in-home childcare as a child. Now, I volunteer a few days a week at Michelle’s to spend time with the kiddos and help with whatever tasks are needed. I have been involved in childcare on and off for nearly 17 years. I don’t have children, but I have a 14-month-old niece with whom I spend much time with. I am excited that I will be a substitute when needed at Spark and that I will be able to work with children of all different age groups.
