When I started making harness, I asked everyone what’s the best sewing machine; then I bought “it”. Fast forward 20 years, I found the best sewing machine, and the paradigm for becoming a good harness maker. Hand stitching; taking too damn much time on the tiniest detail that doesn’t matter. The next challenge is to find the matrix where the effort/time/materials validate themself as a viable business.

For everyone who thinks my dream is unattainable and crazy. Just remember my back up plan is to have a day job just like you. About once a month I think it’s time to get a real job, put my college degree to use, maybe that or it’s time to figure out how to run this hobby like a business, I should start by charging more then $10 an hour.

The older I get, the more I want the old things I remember as a kid. Big stereos, cool jack knives, leather long lines. The tiny luxuries that are well within reach.
