The Shift Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations of the manufacturing floor with focus on Safety, Quality and Productivity. Working closely with the Plant Manager, Process Technician, Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse staff, the Supervisor is the acting liaison between all areas of the plant, ensuring the proper flow of information and resources for optimal day to day output. 2nd Shift works Monday-Friday 3:50pm-1:50am.

Specific tasks of this position include but are not limited:

Material / Tooling Management
Directing production support staff to ensure production lines are fully stocked with all required materials.
Managing plant tooling and raw material inventory, including daily and weekly inventory counts.
Warehouse Management
Inbound Shipments: Work with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all inbound shipments are properly processed including documentation and organization.
Outbound Shipments: Work with Warehouse Supervisor and warehouse staff to ensure all outbound shipments are coordinated, staged and loaded correctly.
Quality Control #2 (QC2) / Packaging Management: Work with warehouse and production support staff to ensure proper flow of finished goods off the lines and subsequent proper QC2 and packaging of orders.
Staff Management
Oversee all production staff members to ensure the Safety / Quality / and productivity of the floor.
Coordinate daily staff assignments to ensure optimal output.
Address staff performance issues and escalate to the Plant Manager as needed.

Machine/Winder Operator up to $20/hr.
As a member of the Nagel team, your main responsibility is to set up and operate the machine (s) according to job specifications and work orders. Your detail, safety and attentiveness as a Winder Operator is critical to regular equipment inspection and the ability to measure dimensions, align parts and produce material according to production instructions.

How you’ll contribute to our company:
Operate production/manufacturing machines and equipment related to paper conversion.
Perform routine set-up, ensuring that machine is ready to be started, starts machine and maintains its ongoing operation by replenishing stock.
Observes machine during operation, as well as examines output to detect malfunctions or defects (and adjusts machines accordingly).
In addition to operating machines, job responsibilities include:
Palletizing
Bundling
Boxing
Nesting
String-tying
Label Application
