MUSEUM QTY Antique 1918 BROOKS BROTHERS Bespoke Morning Suit 2pc Cutaway Tailcoat Vest Sz 41 WWI made in NY, USA. Features the original stitched paper custom order tags reading "BROOKS BROS." with registry order number 99482 on both, stamped chest size 41, and hand-dated 12/18 (December 1918). Excellent antique condition overall, especially considering its 100+ year age. The heavy outer black wool is incredibly well-preserved with robust fiber integrity and no major shedding. All original basketweave buttons are tightly secured. The interior heavy silk twill lining is intact with minor surface lint/dust and minor expected age-toning/foxing to the light silk vest lining. Seems unaltered and structurally sound.
