When it comes to agriculture, moles can cause crop damage to a field but also to equipment used during harvest. The dirt mounds they leave on top of the ground will cause the sickle section on windrowers to become dull or break. That in turn causes inefficient cutting and down time to change the sections.
Also, running dirt through your combines will cause excessive and pre mature wear on internal parts costing you more money over time then if you have someone trap the moles ahead of harvest.

To all the local hazel nut growers; if you have your irrigation system on top of the ground and you’re wondering how your getting all those water leaks in your orchard, it’s the animal biting them to get a little drink.
Animal like raccoons, fox, skunks, possums and more have no issue chewing up your lines even if the creek is 10 feet away.

For my local nut growers and farmers, beavers are and will continue to be one of the most aggravating issues that you face on a day to day basis. They will chew down multiple filbert tree in one night just to chew on a couple branches for dinner and leave the rest to rot. That can get real expensive after a couple weeks. This problem won’t be going away anytime soon unfortunately.

I travel all over Linn county and even into Lane county to help nut growers solve this problem.

Foxes are clever, persistent predators that can devastate chicken flocks by digging under, climbing over, or chewing through weak fencing, often returning once they find an easy meal. They will continue to return until they’re caught or all your chickens are dead.

Nutria can really do some damage to someone’s yard if they’re not controlled.
Not only are they an invasive species in Oregon, they can give birth 2-3 times a year with each litter having 4-6 young. They are known to attack pets and will easily send your dogs and cats to the vet with a hefty bill after receiving stitches from the nutria bites.
