✨ WBN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: VANDYE NELSON ✨

This week, we’re excited to spotlight Vandye Nelson of the WBN Murrysville Chapter, owner of 60 Minute Missions Escape Room!

Vandye originally joined WBN nearly nine years ago as a way to connect with women business leaders and introduce a new business—and a new concept—to the area. What she found along the way was so much more.

💬 “The friendships I have made over the past nine years are invaluable.”

Today, Vandye finds joy in watching friends and families come together, have fun, and create memories at 60 Minute Missions.

And her advice to other women in business?

“Find your people! The right group will support you and encourage you in ways you never imagined. Bloom where you’re planted!”

We’re proud to have Vandye as part of WBN and the Murrysville Chapter! ❤️

Your Network Is More Than Referrals

A strong network isn’t just about exchanging business cards or getting referrals. It’s about building genuine relationships with women who support your growth.

It’s having women you can turn to for advice, celebrate wins with, learn from, collaborate with, and lean on when business gets challenging.

That’s the power of a strong professional network and the relationships we build through WBN.

👇 What’s one thing your professional network has given you beyond referrals?

✨ Your network can extend far beyond one meeting or one chapter.

With 14 Women’s Business Network chapters throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area, each meeting twice a month, there are approximately 28 opportunities every month to connect with women in business.

Today's the day! The first 70 cups of medium coffee are pre-paid by our chapter. Teachers, first responders, and healthcare workers, stop by this afternoon for a "cup of thanks."

12/07/2020

In case you missed it...our chapter's Cup of Thanks coffee giveaway is TOMORROW. Please let the teachers, first responders, and healthcare workers in your life know. Here's what they'll want to know:

The Pittsburgh City East Chapter of the Women’s Business Network, Inc, would like to spread a little cheer this year! As a way to thank area Healthcare Workers, First Responders and Teachers for going the extra mile in 2020, and as a way to support another woman-owned business, Parisi Cafe and Italian Market, we are offering Cups of Thanks!

We’ve paid it forward with 70 cups of coffee! If you’re an EMT, Fire or Police First responder, Healthcare Employee or a local teacher stop in Parisi Cafe and Italian Market at 7107 Harrison Avenue on December 8 and show your work badge (or some other form of work ID) to enjoy a regular 16 oz. cup of coffee or a 16 oz. cup of decaf on us, while supplies last!

We hope when you stop you’ll also check out Parisi Cafe and Italian Market’s delicious take-out foods and grocery items as well, and consider tipping your server.

Our chapter is currently meeting remotely but hopes to resume meeting at Parisi Cafe once Covid 19 is more under control and groups are able to assemble there. If you’re interested in learning more about our chapter, go to:
https://wbninc.com/pittsburgh-city-east/

We’re accepting new members and would be happy to get you the info on how to attend one of our remote meetings as a guest in the time being!

12/02/2020

WBN's Pittsburgh City East Chapter meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Any woman in business who is looking for a business networking opportunity is invited to attend to get to know the chapter. We also invite members of other WBN chapters to join us.

Each meeting features a Member Spotlight, during which a chapter member will present on a specific topic. On December 9, Karen Kendall will be speaking on the topic of learning how to connect with your neighbors using NextDoor. The Member Spotlight presentation will be recorded. Anyone who is interested in attending can email Chapter Representative Darlene Trower at [email protected] to request the meeting link.

The chapter is meeting virtually as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic but hopes to return to its Parisi Cafe meeting place in Swissvale when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we encourage you to support Parisi Cafe and other local small businesses on an individual basis.
