I perform museum quality restorations on WWII German helmets for collectors, dealers, re-enactment groups, museums, TV and Movie productions worldwide. These parts include, but are not limited to: ORIGINAL sheepskin, goatskin and pigskin leather liners in most all of the sizes, depending on stock on hand. er band systems from the mid 1930's to the last ones made in late 1944. I mix the lacquer based paint using the original formulas and materials. I use the same spraying, drying and baking techniques that the German manufacurers did. Aging is natural and done to match the existing paint perfectly. Here's Cheri N. (now Cheri "S".), in her home with her husband Ian S. A friend of Cheri's who went to Sycamore for ONE YEAR, had returned for the reunion and to see Cheri. Her name was Diane N. (Yah, I KNOW anther "DIANE"!!.") She latched onto me like a magnet to hardened steel!! I went home to get my camera as the reunion was winding down, and this "new Diane" wanted to come to my place with me. Sure, why Not?! WOW! Once we got there and she found out that there was no one there but me and her, she latched onto to me like a VAMPIRE!! Her dress was UP and OFF in seemingly a "NANO-SECOND"! WHOA!! Settle down!! We juss came here to get my camera!! Oh well, why not?!!!
