🔧 Repair of the Week: Sometimes the Problem Isn't What You Expect

Customer complaint: The refrigerator was making a constant clicking noise and not cooling.

Upon diagnosis, I found the main control board (MCB) repeatedly clicking on and off, preventing the refrigerator from running properly. Since this model only has one control board, I replaced it, expecting the issue to be resolved.

Surprisingly, the new board behaved exactly the same way.

After further troubleshooting and checking multiple components, I disconnected the harness leading to the buzzer assembly—and the clicking immediately stopped. The refrigerator started running normally and began cooling as designed.

This was an unusual failure that I've never encountered on this particular model. It's a great reminder that accurate diagnosis is just as important as replacing parts. Sometimes the root cause isn't where you'd expect it to be!
