Company History and Facts:

2002: Opened for business after acquiring Flora's Wholesale Socks, a family owned wholesaler which had been in business for over 14 years.

2003:Expanded Warehouse operations and launched Bamasocks.com

2005: Acquired our finishing plant and began finishing operations on Godfrey ave. in Fort Payne, Alabama.

2006: Relocated Headquarters and expanded our Fulfillment Center at our Clark Ave. Plant.

2009: Completed purchase of the former Brooks Hosiery Building at Sylvania, Alabama and relocated all operations to our new facility. Accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

2010: Continuing to expand Knitting operations with purchase of more equipment and enhancing our fulfillment center with newer technology and more efficient processes. Relaunched our updated, and greatly improved, Bamasocks.com to enhance usability and reduce checkout time for our valued customers.

2012: Made Capital Improvements to our Facility including purchase of updated automated equipment for our dyehouse operations to improve turn around times, offer more variety, control quality of our product, reduce cost to stay competitive and increase job security for our employees. Continued to expand our product line by introducing our "Ruggeds" Brand Line of Thermal and Work Socks. Present: Continue to Focus on Quality and Customer Service in order to give our customers the best experience possible.

Did you know that The first knitting machine for stockings was invented by Reverend William Lee, an English clergyman in Nottinghamshire, England. A major step in the Industrial Revolution. Sock knitting machines would come along later in the 19th century as circular knitting machines were developed. Interesting note, Queen Elizabeth the first refused the patent to protect the jobs of hand knitters jobs and way of life.
