I have been making (piecing) quilts since 1995, and quilting quilts since 2005. I love making quilts and quilting!! I decided to make quilting my retirement career. I still have lots of quilts and quilting in me and it is less physically taxing than nursing! I'm a retired nurse of 40 years... not quite sure I'm ready to be a "totally retired nurse" - my first passion has been nursing. I was an Emergency Nurse at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, for 20+ years, an SICU Nurse at U of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, MI, for 12+ years, as well as a few years at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in the Trauma Resuscitation Unit in Baltimore, MD, and a few more years in a couple other Health Systems where I met some wonderful peers and patients.
