Please feel free to share this.
Starting Monday August 3, 2026, there will be a $10 loading surcharge for customers coming onsite for us to load less than 10 tons of product, any material type. Please call 605-321-8403 if you have any questions.
In the aggregate construction industry, consistent flows for loading, transport, and delivery, is an extremely important process to get the product on its way safely and efficiently.
This is for the safety of ALL customers and roadways coming in and out of the mine locations. This is for the safety of ALL mine equipment and roadways used for ALL customers. We value ALL of our customers, and this decision is best for everyone in the South Dakota, Nebraska, & Iowa base.
This does not apply to our outgoing deliveries as that trucking process is predetermined. This does not apply to our incoming customers that bring in transports and load more than 10-ton and have the capacity to do so.
Please keep in mind that in a majority of transport situations for aggregate construction products it is safer to utilize the haul trucks designated as they have all proper safety requirements met.
Examples below:
If you bring in your trailer type (lift dump, small axle, pickup bed, flatbed) to be loaded at the mine site, and it is rated at 5-ton capacity, you will be charged an additional $10 for the outgoing load, no matter if you request 1 ton or the full 5 ton. We will not "put a little more" or "load beyond ratings".
If you bring in your trailer type (lift dump, small axle, pickup bed, flatbed) to be loaded at the mine site, and it is rated at 10-ton capacity, you will be charged an additional $10 for the outgoing load if you do not load to the full 10 ton. We will not "put a little more" or "load beyond ratings".
If you bring in your trailer type (lift dump, small axle, pickup bed, flatbed) to be loaded at the mine site, and it is rated at 15-ton capacity, you will only be charged an additional $10 for the outgoing load, if you request under 10 ton. No $10 surcharge for amounts of 10 ton or up to your 15-ton max capacity, but again, we will not "put a little more" or "load beyond ratings".
