My Margot is a very special lady.

She turned 99 this month, and every time I spend time with her, I’m reminded of how much wisdom, resilience, and beauty our older adults carry.

Margot has lived an amazing life. She is brave, strong, committed to her health, and full of vitality. At 99, she has full mobility, follows a healthy diet, takes great care of herself, and has the most infectious laugh.

But what inspires me most is not just how well she is aging. It is the way she continues to teach, share, and remind me what a full life can look like.

I always tell her, “I want to be you when I grow up.”

Our older adults have lived through wins, losses, hard lessons, sacrifices, love, grief, change, and moments most of us can only imagine. Their stories matter. Their wisdom matters. They deserve to be heard.

Take a moment to sit with the seniors in your life. Ask questions. Listen closely. Let them share the lessons they earned through a lifetime of living.

Because one day, it will be our story too.

What wisdom have you learned from an older adult in your life?

When senior care means helping with the big decisions… and sometimes walking the dog when nature calls. 🐾

Real support looks different every day, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This review touched my heart.

Helping families find the right senior living option is about so much more than a placement. It is about trust, compassion, advocacy, and helping loved ones feel supported through a difficult transition.

“My mother couldn’t remember April’s name so she would call her angel, and to us she is.”

I am so grateful for the families who allow me to be part of their journey. It is an honor to help bring clarity, comfort, and peace of mind during such an important time.

May 11 is National Women’s Checkup Day 💛

A simple reminder for women to prioritize their health, schedule routine checkups, stay up to date on screenings, and make time for their own well-being.

Because caring for yourself is just as important as caring for everyone else.

What an amazing evening! 🥳

Last night’s Tacoma Happy Hour celebrating the release of the 2026 Puget Sound Retirement Connection Guide was such a great reminder of how strong and connected this senior care community truly is.

It was inspiring to be in a room filled with so many professionals who are passionate about serving seniors and their families throughout the Puget Sound area. Events like this are such a wonderful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and continue building relationships that make a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special. Already looking forward to the next one! 🎉

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and make space for the things that bring peace, connection, and support.
Mental health looks different for everyone. Some days it’s rest, some days it’s asking for help, some days it’s getting outside, creating something with your hands, or simply taking one small step forward.
This month, and every month, let’s continue to normalize caring for our minds with the same kindness and attention we give to everything else.

As Parkinson’s Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reminded that awareness, support, and advocacy matter all year long.

Parkinson’s can impact balance, gait, strength, and confidence, but the right care and mobility support can help patients stay safer and more independent.

💙 April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month

Parkinson’s disease affects millions of individuals and families, impacting movement, balance, and daily life. While symptoms can develop gradually, early awareness and support make a meaningful difference.

This month, we encourage you to learn the signs, support those affected, and help create a more understanding and compassionate community.

Awareness leads to understanding—and no one should navigate Parkinson’s alone.

For me, International Women’s Day feels less about “having it all” and more about raising it well—raising beautiful, strong women who don’t compromise their morals or values for a step up.
Women who give their whole hearts, celebrate their unique perspectives, and lean into their gifts—even when those gifts don’t match the trend. Women who take pride in beating to their own drum and understand that life isn’t only about climbing… it’s also about pausing to live and really take it in.
It’s about helping them fill the empty spaces with the kind of goodness and fulfillment that only faith can provide. Teaching them to see the world—and their own potential—more clearly than I did at their age.
No rushing. Time is a gift.
Regrets are a waste. Even stubbing your toe can be a blessing.
We’re raising some amazing humans. And today, for me, it’s all about that.
