I am not a robot. With the advancement of AI, voice recognition, and speech to text software it's no surprise to me how often I hear: Don't you just play the audio into a machine and it spits out a transcript?

There has been a lot of development in machines and software that simulate humans and are trained in speech patterns, but there is still no technology out there that can do what I do: Listen to multiple voices (sometimes talking all at the same time) and identifying their speech patterns, discern various volumes of conversation to reflect the entire dialogue, catching pauses and hesitations, using accurate vocabulary for the subject matter, and properly utilizing punctuation for context and voice inflection.

No. I am not a robot. I am an intelligent, highly skilled, well trained transcriptionist.

Recording Tip: Don't "eat" your transcription budget or your words.

When conducting an interview, some things to keep in mind, don't chew gum, eat, or slurp beverages during the recording. These sounds overwhelm the audio and more often than not drown out the speaker. Poor audio makes for higher costs, and lost content, but saving your snacks can save you pennies.
