Thank you, Mrs. Gillespie, for the invitation to speak to the students in the Theology classes at St. John Paul II Catholic High School on the environment and the Catholic Church.
The timing was perfect during the Season of Creation held each year from September 1 to October 4 when the Christian family unites for the worldwide celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. Students participated in an activity to identify concrete actions that can be taken to support the seven goals of Laudato Si Movement, Pope Francis’s landmark 2015 encyclical, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home. The presentations ended with the video "Pray with the Pope: For the care of water | September 2026"
