Did you know?

Every time you fill up your gas tank, you’re standing just feet away from an underground containment system — and most people never give them a second thought.

Those manhole covers, pump cabinets, and access lids around the dispensers are housing critical components designed to protect the environment beneath your feet.

✅ STP Sumps – Contain leaks around the submersible turbine pump below ground.
✅ Spill Buckets – Capture overflow during fuel delivery.
✅ UDC Sumps – Contain drips and leaks directly beneath the dispenser.

Most of these systems were phased in as required installations starting in the late 1980s. After October 13, 2018, the EPA required many of them to undergo annual integrity testing to ensure they’re still doing their job.

At 7G, that’s exactly what we do — keeping containment systems inspected, tested, and documented so our clients stay in compliance and the environment stays protected.

Having an Operator C on-site at all times ensures quick action when alarms or incidents occur — helping prevent small issues from becoming major problems.
