A PCR device runs a biological sample through thermal cycles and reads the results in real time. The software sitting between the instrument and the screen has to keep up, or the data is useless.
Eric Beppler leads electrical and software engineering at Dropworks, where they built FluxPCR for lab technicians and researchers. He brought Cuttlesoft in to build the Python middleware connecting hardware to UI.
What surprised him was how quickly the team felt internal. "When we ask Cuttlesoft to take something on, we know they're going to deliver it."
That kind of trust comes from a team that learns the product as deeply as the codebase. Eric expects better integration, which is why he keeps working with Cuttlesoft.
