Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida last night as a Category 2 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. Overnight, the storm weakened to a post-tropical cyclone as it moved through Alabama, and the immediate threat to our communities has passed. Heavy rain and gusty winds remain possible further inland through the weekend.

We’re pleased to report that all of our communities along the storm’s path came through the night safely. Some properties experienced brief power outages, downed trees, and minor property impacts, and our teams are actively working through cleanup and repairs this morning. Everyone — residents and staff alike — is safe and accounted for.

We want to recognize our on-site teams for their hard work and dedication throughout this storm. They prepared all week, stayed with our residents through the night, and have been responding quickly to whatever came up. Their commitment has made a real difference.

Hurricane Isaias is now forecast to strengthen as it tracks toward the Gulf Coast, with landfall expected somewhere along the Gulf Shores, AL to Pensacola, FL corridor in the next 24–48 hours. We want you to know that our teams have been preparing all week.

Here's what's happening on our end:
- Our Operations team has been monitoring this storm closely since it was first identified, and we're in constant contact with our communities along the forecast path.

- Property teams have reviewed storm protocols and are taking the appropriate precautionary steps based on their location and risk level.

- As a precaution, our corporate office will close at 12 PM on Friday, October 9. Our team will continue working remotely and remains fully reachable by phone and email throughout the storm.

A great first day of October spent celebrating a great team! Today, our SRQ4U BBQ crew fired up the grill for an employee appreciation BBQ at Anthem Lakes Waterview Senior Living in Jacksonville, Florida.

While we gathered to eat, the team shared a video they created about why they love working at Anthem Lakes and with SRI Management. We came to show our appreciation for them, and they surprised us with something that made us feel just as appreciated!

We’re so thankful for this crew and the difference they make in the lives of their residents every day!

In just two weeks, the SR Companies team will come together in Tallahassee for our Pink & Purple Walk, raising funds for two causes that are dear to our organization: the Walker Breast Program at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and the Purple Heart Foundation.

The pink side of the walk has a personal connection to SR Companies. The Walker Breast Program honors Sharon Ewing Walker, mother of our CFO, Seth Walker, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 33 and passed away at 42. Funds raised in her memory helped establish the program at TMH, which continues to support women through breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care.

The purple side of the walk supports the Purple Heart Foundation, helping honor and serve veterans and their families, including the many veterans who are part of the senior living communities we serve.

While participation in the walk is limited to our conference team, you can still help make an impact by sponsoring one of our walkers and making a pledge. Every donation helps us turn this event into meaningful support for both organizations!

Part of our clinical team recently spent time in Atlanta at the 2026 Value-Based Care Workshop presented by Accushield, joining senior living and clinical leaders for conversations about how the industry can play a greater role in the future of healthcare.

The workshop focused on how value-based care can help senior living operators improve resident outcomes, strengthen care coordination, and build better partnerships across the healthcare system. It also created space for leaders to share what is working, challenge assumptions, and look at practical ways to move these models forward.

A special highlight for us was LaToya Russell, Divisional Director of Clinical Services, joining a panel discussion as a member of the Accushield Clinical Advisory Board. LaToya had the opportunity to share her perspective alongside other industry leaders and contribute to the broader conversation around the future of care in senior living.

For us, value-based care is ultimately about serving residents better and using the position we have in their daily lives to support better health and quality of life.
