Haley has been part of the Capital City Pest Control family since the very beginning in 2018 alongside her husband, Travis. In 2026, she officially joined the company full-time after leaving her position at American Backflow to become more involved in the family business.

Above all, Haley loves being a mom to her two boys, Hagen and Grady. When she’s not working or spending time with her family, you can usually find her outside caring for the animals on her hobby farm, including goats, quail, chickens, and cows.

Haley brings a strong work ethic, a family-first mindset, and a genuine dedication to the business. We’re excited to have her as an official part of the Capital City Pest Control team!

Few things get the heart racing like a large, fast spider darting across the floor. In Tallahassee, that is often a wolf spider, and here is the twist: they are actually on your side.

Wolf spiders do not build webs. They hunt other bugs, which makes them basically free pest control. They are not aggressive and rarely bite. They just look intimidating. As the weather shifts, they wander indoors chasing prey.

If a cloud of little moth like flies keeps showing up around your sink, shower, or floor drain, you are probably dealing with drain flies. And the fix is not another can of spray.

Drain flies breed in the gunk that builds up inside slow or neglected drains. Kill the ones you see and more keep hatching, because the real problem is down the pipe. The only lasting fix is clearing out the breeding source.

🐛 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘇𝘇𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗲

That soft, fuzzy little caterpillar might look pettable, but in North Florida, looks can hurt. The puss caterpillar, also called an asp, hides venomous spines under all that fluff, and brushing against one causes an intense, burning sting.

They show up on oaks, elms, and shrubs in late summer, and sometimes drop right onto porches, railings, and playsets. Kids are especially at risk, because they are curious.

The rule is simple: admire, do not touch. If stinging caterpillars are showing up around your home, we can help treat the areas where they gather. Ever run into one of these?

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. She is involved in the children’s ministry at her church, loves line dancing, and spends plenty of time with her black lab, Buck. She has also recently added chickens to her list of interests.

🦂 𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Surprise. Florida has scorpions, and the Panhandle is prime territory for the little striped bark scorpion. Before you panic, here is the good news: our local scorpions are not deadly, and their sting is roughly like a bee sting for most people.

Still, nobody wants to find one in a shoe or on the wall. They slip indoors through cracks and gaps hunting for moisture and insects, especially in the late summer heat.

Fewer bugs in your home means fewer scorpions, and sealing them out is key. Seeing scorpions where they do not belong? We can help you show them the door.

If the yellowjackets around your Tallahassee yard seem angrier lately, you are not imagining it. By late summer their colonies hit peak size, natural food gets scarce, and they turn bold, aggressive, and quick to sting.

Unlike a lot of stinging insects, yellowjackets can sting again and again, and their nests are often hidden in the ground, in wall voids, or under decks where you do not spot them until it is too late.

Please do not go poking around a nest yourself. We remove them safely and treat the area so they do not rebuild. Found one near the house? Call us before someone gets stung.

Building relationships has always been important to Travis, and his outgoing personality is a big part of how he connects with customers.

Outside of work, Travis is a husband of 8 years and proud dad to two boys. Family is a big part of his life, and when he isn’t working or spending time with them, you’ll most likely find him outdoors. He especially enjoys duck hunting, along with dove, deer, and turkey hunting.

If you’ve ever met Travis, you know he doesn’t meet strangers. He genuinely enjoys getting to know people and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
