1. Pictures/videos of charcuterie lunches you’ve made
2. Pictures/videos of cafeteria remodels that are “out of the box”
3. Pictures/videos of scratch cooking being done in your schools

We are sad to hear the news of Franco Harris today. Super Bakery and Franco are school nutrition icons to those of us that have been in the industry for a while. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

School Nutrition Association is sad to share the passing of Super Bakery owner, school nutrition supporter and NFL legend Franco Harris. Please join us in sending warm thoughts and prayers to his loved ones and friends during this difficult time.

This is something we share every year, especially around the holidays. Paying it forward doesn’t always look like buying coffee for the person behind you. We love this out of the box idea of paying it forward because schools all over the country have student charges that are going unpaid. Call your local school or district to pay it forward this holiday season 🎄❤️🎅🏼

Want to give back???

Don’t buy that car behind you a cup of coffee ☕️ at Starbucks or another fast food joint!

Instead, call your local school and tell them that you want to payoff one or more overdue lunch accounts and add $10 or more! 🏫 💵 🍲

Our children shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not they will be able to eat that day.

I have seen a lot about paying for someone's bill or buying the persons cup of coffee behind us.

This is one I haven't seen yet. I think is a far better use of "pay-it-forward" than a coffee or lunch in drive-thru's.

Now I’ve done plenty of “PIFs” but this one definitely seems more than worth it for the sake of our children ❤️

USDA has been hard at work rallying behind school meals this year! They have championed a lot of support in the form of extra funding, as shown in the snapshot below. SFAs should be sure to keep their eye out for grants, such as the equipment grant, so they can take advantage of even more funding opportunities in addition to the extra funding already received.
