Tonight, we partnered with several neighboring agencies for a joint live fire and water flow training exercise on Friendship Road.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the personnel who participated, including:

City of Tallassee Fire Department
Eclectic Fire Department
Red Hill Fire Department
Emerald Mountain Fire Department

Collaborative exercises like this are vital for strengthening our mutual aid partnerships. By training together, we ensure our departments remain highly coordinated, sharp, and ready to respond effectively when our communities need us most.

**Rifle Range and Redland Road Intersection Update **
The redlight at Rifle Range and Redland Road is operational. Thank you for your patience while crews were working in the area.

** Previous Posts **
Permanent repairs to the signal at the intersection of Rifle Range and Redland Road will begin today (7/1/26) at 9am. The signal will not be in operation while repairs are being made. The intersection will be converted to an all-way stop until work is complete. We anticipate this project to be done by the end of the day. We will update this post once repairs are complete and the signal is fully operational.

Signal is temporarily functioning in timer only mode. Permanent repairs will be made as soon as the contractor is available. Please continue to use caution in this area.
The signal will be out of service while the permanent repairs are made. The intersection functions as an all-way stop anytime the signal is out of service. We will update the public as information becomes available.

Please use caution when traveling the area surrounding Rifle Range and Redland Road. Currently, the signal is inoperable and the intersection has been converted to an all way stop.
This area will be affected for an unknown period of time, we will update accordingly.
