We sent Kat to Professional Development Day hosted by Public Relations Society of America and PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter and told her to report back to the team.

It’s important to us to stay informed about the ways things are evolving in the comms field so we can be adaptable and effective in the work that we do for our clients.

She booked 40 podcast interviews…

on own. Before she met with us.

Dr. Noor was a woman with no shortage of determination or skill.

But when she decided to launch something new, she knew that she would need to take things to the next level. And that meant she needed to learn new strategies.

We offered her new angles that would EXCITE producers about her work, and we created story ideas for her new brand so that she could gain momentum as soon as she launched!

These are the kinds of strategies that can genuinely set thought leaders up for years to come.

Tips and tricks are not enough.

You need systems, strategies, and angles that really speak to your unique identity, goals, and perspectives.

If you want to get more shine for the work that you do, contact our team at info(at)tellpublicrelations.com to get started.

You don’t have to figure it out on your own anymore.

Here at TELL, we work with thought leaders and knowledge creators who want to strengthen their personal brands and bring attention to the work that they are doing.

Why?

Because some of the sharpest, most experienced and most engaging women we know are still flying under the radar.

It is our job to make sure that the work that they are doing gets noticed.

Because it’s time for them to get the shine that they deserve.

Post-event rant:

Our Creative Director, Shaniya, is caught on a rant about “boring” testimonials in the hotel after a gig with a client who led a “train the trainer” workshop.

She was reviewing footage of a STRONG testimonial that she secured from the person who HIRED her client.

The testimonial was GOLD, highlighting all the right things that a thought leader needs.
—————
We teach a four-part framework for women building personal brands, and one of the components speaks to third-party endorsements.

As a thought leader, you need people who not only speak to your expertise, but to your ability to spark real transformation.

You need to have them speak to your distinct point of view and how it impacts others.

In sometimes you need to ask the right questions to get a testimonial with the kind of specificity that inspires other leaders to hire you.

Here’s how we “play favorites”:

we are visibility strategist, who only work with thought leaders and knowledge creators.

It is our job to help them, strengthen their personal brand and bring attention to it.

Women who have the following traits tend to make a lot of progress very quickly:

1. They have a distinct point of view.

When people reach out to our clients, it’s because they want to hear a fresh, thoughtful and nuanced take that they can’t get from others. The women we represent are very knowledgeable in their fields and are comfortable sharing insights that aren’t common online.

2. They perform well on camera.

This is helpful when we pitch them to podcast television and for various speaking engagements. Even though this skill can be taught, and we can help polish the skill set. It works best with women who already have some level of confidence and charisma on the stage.

3. They address a specific group.

While some messages might be for general audiences the thought leaders and knowledge creator we work with can go deep because they focus on a particular group instead of working to appeal to everyone which dilutes their message.

4. They can make complex ideas accessible.

If our thought leaders want to be on large platforms, they have to be able to take their technical knowledge and make it simple for those who might not share that specific space.

When we get inquiries from women who have these specific traits, we get especially excited because we know we are about to go further faster.

If you have these traits, but are struggling to establish a well-defined personal brand and/or bring attention to the work that you do, we would love to learn more about how we can support you.

Two years ago, we coordinated the entire ten-city book tour for “Fighting for our Friendships” (released May 2024).

Many authors want to host a tour for their book launch, but are unaware of all the moving pieces required to make it a success.

Planning a book tour often starts one year in advance and requires:

• Multiple venues
• Qualified and engaging conversation partners in each city
• An exciting marketing strategy to get people to actually attend
• Promotional graphics
• A plan for capturing content in each city to leverage for authority-building
• The artful coordination of many moving parts

The “Fighting for our Friendships” book tour was a success with five of the ten cities selling out! 💅🏾

And it wasn’t possible without our venue partners and co-hosts:
