The end of the year can be exhausting for entrepreneurs. Apart from the obvious last-minute pushes to meet goals and deadlines, no doubt there have been some challenging family events over the holidays. There’s always the dreaded question from family and friends:
"How's business going?"
It’s always a tough one to answer, isn’t it? Especially when the year hasn’t gone to plan.
Sometimes, I’ve smiled and given a short (vague) response. Other times, I’ve outright lied and said it’s going well (while feeling like a complete imposter inside).
And now you're not exactly excited about New Year's Eve...
"What if next year is just more of the same?"
Perhaps you've entirely avoided planning for next year...
Or you've done the planning but doubt it will make any difference.
Either way, entering a new year isn't as thrilling as everyone else seems to think.
I've been there. I get it.
Since starting my own business in 2009, I've had many a New Year strike midnight, hiding my tears of sadness and disguising them as tears of joy.
I've even crept away a few minutes before midnight to protect myself from the joy and celebration surrounding me.
If that sounds like you, please know you're not alone, and it's not your fault.
Thankfully, entrepreneurship is entering a new phase.
- Out with the hustle and grind
- Letting go of the overwhelm
- Healing the burnout
It's time to embrace a new way of doing business:
YOUR way.
Let's do it together. That's what UNBOUND is all about.
Designing a business you’ll never want to escape from.
Redefining your business to support your ideal lifestyle...rather than sucking the life out of you.
I invite you to join me so that no matter how you feel this new year, you will have more to celebrate this time next year.
