I just recently passed a milestone: 9 Years in Business!!! I incorporated The Ghost Publishing on March 2, 2015. I won’t lie and say it’s been easy and everything has always gone smoothly. God knows I made plenty of mistakes. But I’ll also say that it’s been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I left corporate America, where I left a good job with good benefits and a great salary as a Sales Manager to pursue something I love to do – WRITE.
I wrote my first book for FREE – not the most profitable way to start a business but the experience was priceless. I went to writer critique groups twice a week, read books on how to write books, followed well-established ghostwriters and ate up their knowledge. I then started to charge $1K for a book, then $3K, then $5K, then $10K, then $15K, then $20K and up.
The people I have met and worked with have changed my way of thinking for the better. I have never had less than three clients at any time. I am now working on my 100th book! That has always been my goal. I’ll never know the amount of people I’ve helped by them reading the books I’ve written for my clients, and that’s ok – but it’s a cool feeling. I’ve worked with (employed) about 15 writers and some of the best editors on the planet. Together we have helped more than 1,000 people become authors.

ou can do this on the side until it grows and then decide to go to business for yourself or keep building up someone else’s dream. My plan is to officially ghostwrite for another year until my business turns 10. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing my business secrets.
