Is September really the “September Curse” for investors?

September has historically been one of the more challenging months for the stock market.

But there’s another issue we’re watching closely right now:

Inflation.

Why does it matter?

Because inflation could play a major role in the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise, hold, or lower interest rates.

If inflation continues to cool, the Fed may have more flexibility to lower rates.

If inflation remains stubborn, rates could stay higher for longer.

So what’s the most concerning part?

It’s not knowing exactly what the Fed will do next.

It’s having a retirement plan that requires you to be right about what happens next.

How much can waiting to save for retirement really cost you?

Most people know they should be saving for retirement.

The harder question is: What happens if you wait?

Waiting 5, 10, or even 20 years to start investing can make a dramatic difference because you're not just missing contributions, you're missing years of compound growth.

For example, someone who starts saving early may be able to contribute significantly less and still end up with more than someone who waits and tries to “catch up” later.
