When the afternoon sessions get canceled, we pivot. โ๏ธ๐
Today that looked like:
๐๏ธ Beach first.
โฐ Then unrestricted hours.
As an RBT, Student Analyst, and entrepreneur, my schedule can change in an instant. Sessions cancel. Plans shift. Unexpected openings appear in the calendar.
Iโve learned that instead of viewing those moments as โlost hours,โ I can choose to see them as opportunities.
Opportunities to reset.
Opportunities to reflect.
Opportunities to fill my cup.
Because the truth is, I canโt pour into my clients, families, team members, students, or business if Iโm constantly running on empty.
The work we do requires presence, patience, compassion, creativity, and energy. Those things donโt come from burnout they come from intentionally caring for ourselves, too.
So today, I chose sunshine, saltwater, and a little extra space to breathe.
And I wonโt apologize for that.
The more I invest in my own well-being, the better I show up for the people who count on me.
For my fellow RBTs, BCBAs, Student Analysts, and entrepreneurs:
๐ญ What do you do when an unexpected gap opens up in your schedule? Do you jump into work mode or use it as a chance to recharge?
Iโd love to hear your answer below. โฌ๏ธ
