Hey guys! I'm super excited to announce my new series "Save Your Body". It was designed to teach you how to self-massage and stretch every muscle in your body from head-to-toe using six-to-ten inch inflatable balls.

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of communication in the past two weeks or so.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜• I've been refocusing on what I want to do with my life and was going through a roller coaster of emotions.๐Ÿ™ƒ I really love Crossfit...๐Ÿ˜„ Even though I can barely achieve an air squat without falling on my buttocks.๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ˜† I want to be a coach and trainer of this methodology, so I was prepping for my Level 1 Seminar this past weekend.๐Ÿ˜ƒ Why Crossfit? Primarily because of the powerful impact it's had on my life.๐Ÿ‘ I can feel and see the difference in my body, and my physical capabilities have increased beyond what I ever thought was possible. Nothing I've tried before has worked this well for me. And this is the first time I've ever truly had fun working out.๐Ÿ™‚ What I like most is that it's consistent personal development (there's always something to improve on). I've learned more about myself in my 3-4 short months of doing Crossfit than I ever have in my 5 long years of traditional training. For example: I have tight ankles and hips, my left knee is tight from being overworked, and my achilles tendon and hamstrings are like steel cables lol.๐Ÿ˜‚ How did I learn all of this? From my attempts to perform functional movements and cues from a coach. What's even more fascinating is that these ailments/limitations aren't permanent. They can be fixed over time with consistent stretching, body rolling, and movement.๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyway, thank you to all who have reached out to me. I truly appreciate your support and kindness. My focus at the moment is to build a Personal Training clientele in the Citrus Park, Westchase, Oldsmar, and Palm Harbor area of Tampa, FL. I've come across some nostalgia...โ˜๏ธ Star Crunch.โญ๏ธ That's right.๐Ÿ˜ž Little Debbie and I go way back.๐Ÿ˜’ We were best friends. At least that's what I thought...โ˜น๏ธ But Debbie had an ulterior motive.๐Ÿ˜” Her flavor, so rich in caramel and chocolate.๐Ÿ˜ง Her crisp, so pleasing to the ears.๐Ÿ˜จ Her smell, so intoxicating and alluring.๐Ÿ˜ฑ She was the best. Unfortunately... She was toxic...๐Ÿ˜ท She tasted so good not because she wanted what was best for me.๐Ÿ˜• But because she wanted to seduce me with her profile.๐Ÿ˜ฃ You can lose yourself in food. It's an addiction.๐Ÿ™ I spent my childhood obese, and Debbie kept me company till the day of my stroke.๐Ÿ˜ฐ So why did I go until my health failed me?๐Ÿค” A lack of knowledge, yes. When you're in the gym, you might notice that some exercises are harder on one side of your body than the other.โ˜น When you lift a barbell, one side might come up faster or with more ease than the other.๐Ÿ˜• These are signs that you might have a neuromuscular imbalance.๐Ÿ˜ฑ While the broader concept of muscle imbalances certainly generates a lot of buzz these days, thereโ€™s one significant aspect getting far too little attention.๐Ÿ˜ฆ Itโ€™s the concept of tonic (postural or antigravity) and phasic muscles.๐Ÿ˜ง Consider which muscles youโ€™re more prone to complain of being tight and/or painful: calves, pectorals (chest), low back, upper trapezius (upper back/back of neck)? And guess what they all have in common.๐Ÿค” Yepโ€“ all tonic muscles. And the muscles you canโ€™t ever seem to strengthen enough: glutes (butt), lower trapezius (mid-back between shoulder blades), abdominals?๐Ÿค” All phasic. These arenโ€™t complete lists, but these examples pertain to the most common problems like shoulder rotator cuff injuries, neck pain, and low back pain.๐Ÿ˜ฃ Balanced workouts are very important, but I believe the concept of โ€œstraighten before you strengthenโ€ is even more important.๐Ÿ˜ค Doing any exercise (especially weight/strength training) with imbalanced posture will end up strengthening the imbalances instead of correcting them which can result in musculoskeletal pain.๐Ÿ˜” Doing Yamunaยฎ to balance posture before working out is key to improving postural imbalances over time and decreasing chance of injury and improving performance.๐Ÿ‘

Chili has been an all time favorite of mine for as long as I can remember.๐Ÿ˜„ I would polish off the whole pot if you didn't watch me.๐Ÿ˜‰ But 5 years ago, I had a stroke while eating a big bowl of chili.๐Ÿ˜ž That incident turned my life around.๐Ÿ˜Œ Now, it wasn't the chili's fault...โ˜น๏ธ It was my fault for adding all that beef fat.๐Ÿ˜• As a whole food plant based vegan, I can assure you that chili is a very healthy meal.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ As long as you don't add loads of salt, fat, and meat.๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ‘Ž Instead, add some carrots, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions.๐Ÿ‘Œ Tired of rice?๐Ÿ˜… Then make a chili soup by adding a little quinoa to thicken it.๐Ÿ˜‹ Now add some cilantro to flavor her up and go in!๐Ÿ’ช
