Chernobyl- never again. Today we at StemRad are full of a sense of fulfillment as we dispatch a second shipment of gamma radiation shields to Ukraine. We are also full of a sense of gratitude to the generous donors who made this possible.

Slowly but surely, we are equipping with life-saving protection all the first responders in Ukraine who would be tasked with responding to a Chernobyl-like event. Kudos to everyone involved here and in Ukraine!

Teams have unloaded the from NASA’s Orion Spacecraft following the I mission.

These two female manikins, Helga and Zohar, measured radiation levels to potentially reduce exposure during future missions with astronauts: https://go.nasa.gov/3XBH8Zq

From the Moon to Kyiv....While our technology is in lunar orbit aboard NASA’s Orion Spacecraft, we were proud to donate our personal radiation shields to where they are needed the most: Ukraine. StemRad CEO, Dr. Milstein, was joined on this trip by StemRad consultant and NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly, who met with President Zelensky and gave him his own StemRad radiation shield. Most importantly, if a nuclear crisis is to emerge, brave firefighters responding to the incident won't have to pay with their lives in the process, thanks to StemRad’s donation of these gamma radiation shields.

NASA Artemis

Here's to women in space! As you may know, there have been a total of 24 people in deep space, all of them men. Tomorrow at 2:30 PM EST, NASA Artemis is embarking on the first step toward putting a woman on the surface of the Moon. But, first, it will be and traveling to lunar space, to make sure the radiation environment is well known.

No less important is the inclusion of women in all aspects of space exploration. In that regard, we at StemRad are very happy to enjoy the leadership of Shirit Schwarz, who is directing our program and taking us to new heights! Thanks Hadas Gold of CNN for covering! And thank you Israel Space Agency for hosting us at your offices for this incredible report!

Solar storms are beautiful but potentially deadly for astronauts who venture outside of Earth's magnetic field, and into deep space. That's why the radiation vest could pan out to be an enabler for missions to the Moon and beyond. NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and partners Israel Space Agency and German Aerospace Center, DLR are studying the protective properties of the radiation vest on the NASA NASA Artemis I mission to the Moon. If the vest passes muster it may very well be worn by crew on the next Artemis missions. Here's to going back to the Moon, safely!

Bon Voyage to and as the rocket they are atop of is rolled to the launchpad! They are about to be the first passengers to deep space since the Apollo missions and feel the thrust of the strongest rocket in history. When they return in October, they will be the furthest away from Earth anything (passenger or not!) has flown and returned!

We at StemRad, Inc are so proud to be part of this historic mission, the first NASA Artemis mission of many more to come that in their culmination will see the first people land on Mars. Could not have accomplished this feat without the Israel Space Agency, the German Aerospace Center, DLR, Lockheed Martin and of course NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Additionlly, vest could never have been developed without the generous suport of Israel Innovation Authority רשות החדשנות and Space Florida!!

Who has words to describe the feeling…our daughters and are on the tip of the rocket, on their way to the Moon!!! Are we crazy? It may sound like it…but what we started in a small garage in San Diego some 11 years ago is about to orbit the Moon up close, gather critical data for the safety of future crewed missions and then return to Earth, splashing down off the coast of…San Diego. Full circle? Yes, but JUST THE BEGINNING!

Go StemRad! Go Israel Space Agency! Go Lockheed Martin לוקהיד מרטין ישראל, Go Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), Go NASA’s Orion Spacecraft!! Go NASA Artemis!!!
