Nervous system health has been a big focus for me lately, so when I came across the Elonga device, I was curious.

What I like is that it only takes about 3 minutes.

You place the sensor on your arm, open the app, and it measures your HRV (heart rate variability) to give you insights into stress, recovery, and how your nervous system is doing that day.

Healing comes from a calm nervous system.
Creation comes from a calm nervous system.

That was one of the big pieces that landed for me this week in the nervous system mastermind I’m in.

We hear a lot of talk about healing, growth, manifestation, creativity, and becoming the next version of ourselves, but we don’t always talk about the foundation underneath all of that.

The nervous system.

Because on the flip side, being in a group, relationship, or environment that isn’t regulated can create more stress and harm to the nervous system. And I don’t think we talk about that enough.

We need community. We are wired for connection.
But not all community is nourishing.

Some community fills your cup.
Some community drains it.

Some spaces help you exhale and feel safe enough to be present.
Others keep your body bracing, scanning, and trying to figure out what’s coming next.

That doesn’t mean we all have to agree. Healthy, regulated community doesn’t mean everyone has the same opinions or beliefs.
It means there is enough safety to listen.

Enough presence to stay open.
Enough regulation to have real, uplifting conversations without needing to defend, collapse, or disconnect.

The same is true in relationships.

When you are in relationship with someone who is calm and regulated, that steadiness can become a rock. Not someone who fixes you, but someone whose presence gives your system enough safety to begin doing its own healing.
That is the power of co-regulation.

Our nervous system is always looking for what is familiar. So if chaos, tension, judgment, or emotional unpredictability has been familiar, calm might not feel normal at first.

But the more we practice regulation, the more we can start seeing through a different lens.

We are always looking through the lens of our own beliefs, experiences, and old patterns. But regulation gives us access to presence, no greater gift to give to ourselves and others.

I have been been internal lately, working on my own healing path while still seeing clients, but knowing there was something waiting to be brought forward in my business soon….you could say it’s right on the horizon. 🏔️

The past 6 years, I’ve loved helping people nourish their bodies, detoxify, remove parasites, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect to their health in a deeper way.

Something I’ve been learning even more lately is how important it is to truly listen to the body.

Not override it.
Not force it.
Not shame it.
Not disconnect from it.
Actually listen.

I have been training with Julia at The Body Shop, LLC since February and I greatly appreaciate that she understands that too.

Movement doesn’t have to mean punishment. Although I did request for some extra atomic situps in class this week, lol.

Pushing yourself doesn’t have to mean ignoring your nervous system.

Strength building doesn’t have to disconnect you from your intuition.

Seeing my own strength grow again has felt incredibly empowering. I have found it can even correlate to feeling safer in my body.

Especially as we age, strength matters.
Muscle matters.
Mobility matters.
Balance matters.
Circulation matters.
Confidence matters.

If we don’t move, we lose it.

I have been in a small group of amazing women doing research on the nervous system. This was week 3 and we took a look at how the nervous system relates the cell and our mitochondria.

One of the biggest aha moments I had this week came from Sherist bringing forward the concept of the “Cell Danger Response.” It connected so many dots for me.

The research basically explains that when the body perceives danger, whether from trauma, chronic stress, toxins, infections, emotional overwhelm, environmental chemicals, or even unresolved nervous system dysregulation, the cells shift out of healing mode and into protection mode.

This is the same, yet different, from what I’ve seen through regenerative health work for years.

So many of us are trying to heal while our body is still signaling survival.

Our digestion changes.
Our hormones shift.
Our inflammation stays elevated.
Our nervous system stays hypervigilant.
Our detox pathways slow down.
Our body tightens, protects, guards.

Not because the body is broken.
Because the body is adaptive.

One of the most powerful lines from the research paper I read was: “Only when a cell perceives safety can it heal completely.”

That sentence explains why nervous system regulation matters so much.

Why emotional processing matters.
Why trauma work matters.
Why somatic work matters.
Why mitochondrial health matters.
Why detoxification has to be approached carefully and intelligently.

This is also why I believe regenerative health can’t only focus on food or supplements alone. The body, mind, emotions, nervous system, terrain, and environment are all connected.

We also can’t just be doing the spiritual and somatic work and not be detoxifying the body. We have to find the balance between it all.

The deeper I go into this research, the more I realize my body has always been communicating with me.

And, we are all perfect just as we are, and we get to be on this journey. No one is broken. All the parts of us make us whole.

And something still feels off.

A few months ago, a woman couldn’t get out of bed.
Today, we were talking about her next steps forward… and I had chills the entire call.

Someone in her life had simply started bringing her a green superfood shake.

That’s it. No complicated protocol. No overwhelm.

And over time… things started to shift.

Not overnight. Not a miracle fix.
Just consistent, deep nourishment.

What really struck me was she’s been to doctors, nutritionists, dietitians…
she’s been told what to take, what to avoid, what diagnosis to focus on…
and yet she was still stuck.

This is the gap I see over and over again.

This is one of the simplest ways I support my gut health! I make a big pot of soup on Sundays so I don’t have to overthink it during the week.

It’s also how I find balance… making sure I’m getting enough vegetables, not wasting food, and just using what’s already in my fridge.

I don’t really meal prep much else… most of my go-tos during the week are superfood shakes, fruit, and really simple basics. But I love having something warm and nourishing that I can come back to for lunch or dinner.

I don’t love cooking big meals just for myself, and I tend to run out of time during the week, so having something already made that I can just warm up makes a big difference.

So today I’m making this big stew, and I’ll probably roast some beets and add those in when I eat it.

This one actually came from my bioenergetic health analysis… it showed I needed more cruciferous vegetables and fiber to support my microbiome and digestion, so I’ve been leaning into that and giving my body more of what it’s asking for.

I’ve been doing a lot of lentils and just wanted to switch it up—mung beans especially feel really good for me right now. I try and soak them, (this time I just did a quick soak with hot water and a splash of ACV) and it makes a big in how they feel in my body.

Nothing complicated… just being intentional with what I’m putting into my body.

And honestly, this is where I start with most people too.
Food is the medicine.

Lately I’ve been seeing a pattern… in myself and in almost every client I work with.

It’s not just the gut.
It’s not just emotions.
It’s not just what we’re eating or not eating.

A lot of what people are dealing with comes back to the nervous system.

And honestly, that’s been true in my own healing too.

I think most of us have been living in some level of fight or flight for a really long time. It’s so normal that we don’t even realize what it feels like to be regulated.

And that makes healing tricky. Because you can be doing all the “right” things, but if your body doesn’t feel safe, it won’t fully receive it.

I shared a reel yesterday about a device I’ve been testing that supports the nervous system.

It’s not a replacement for the basics like grounding, sunlight, or breathwork. Those will always come first.

But I’m always open to support, and I’ve actually been enjoying this as a tool.

I wrote a blog about what I’ve noticed, how it works, and why I think this piece matters more than most people realize.

And I really just want to say this…

If you feel like you’re doing everything and not seeing results, it might not be about the next supplement, detox, or test.

Nothing replaces the basics—breath, sunlight, slowing down. But I also love having tools that support my body when I need extra help.

I have been testing the Apollo Neuro for about a month now, and I am actually noticing a difference.

When I feel stressed or dysregulated, I turn it on and my body settles faster.

It is different than anything else I have used. It uses gentle vibrations to signal safety to the nervous system and support a shift out of that fight-or-flight state.

I do this work for myself, and I also see it every day with my clients. So much comes back to the nervous system needing support.

I like having tools that are at a reasonable price point that can actually help. We are all in this together. 💚

Our nervous system health is a direct reflection of how we view ourselves and the thoughts that live on repeat in our mind.
The quiet ones. The automatic ones. The ones that shape how safe we feel in the world.

It creates every behavior we have.
Every action we take. Every action we don’t take.
All of it is filtered through the nervous system.

It shapes how we perceive ourselves.
It affects how we experience others, how we move through relationships, and how we meet the world around us.
It is literally creating every moment of our experience.

We can take our life back by healing this system.
Truly, every human could benefit from nervous system healing.

Our nervous system is incredibly powerful.
It will do anything to keep us safe.
But we can get stuck in survival mode. Fight. Flight. Freeze. Self-protection.

When we don’t know how to regulate ourselves, this stuck state can turn into suffering and physical illness.

I get it.
My body didn’t feel safe for most of my life.
It’s still something I’m working on.

Even when I thought I felt safe, there were parts of me living in the subconscious that didn’t.
And those parts were quietly keeping me dysregulated.
