100th Anniversary Archives - This photo was taken at the Annual Potato Blossom Festival parade at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Tasley in 1939. Note the star arrangement on the American flag. Fred Scott is the driver of the new 1939 Ford/Seagrave engine.

100th Anniversary Archives - This "action shot" shows our 1939 Ford / Seagrave engine and crew working a house fire at the Edward O'Donovan residence, just south of Tasley on Coastal Boulevard, but what was then Route 13. The fire was called in at around 2:30 pm on Friday, January 14, 1949, and apparently originated in the kitchen. The firemen extinguished the fire and saved the home.

100th Anniversary Archives

Firefighters from Tasley, Onancock, Parksley, Melfa, Wachapreague and Painter fought this fire which destroyed the Onley home owned by Donald Mears and rented by Alfred Duncan. The fire was reported at 2:50 PM on Friday, January 30, 1970.
