Who's getting excited for their bow season opener? Looks like there will be some doe patrol going on at the land in . A lot of the big bucks have moved off in the late summer, but with holding the does, I know they will be back in October. Should be an exciting season up ahead.

Also hoping to get my 5yo son out a little in and just get him to experience a little up close and personal deer action.

The first one to shed velvet showed up the other day. A nice little 8 which will have every chance to make it through to next year if he sticks around the property. I've had this one on camera several times so far this summer so far.

I've been really quiet the last couple weeks with a lot going on, inside and out of the shop. I never got a chance to post a finished picture of the big bear I was working on. Some called it small but it was a 375 # Spring bear with a 70"+ nose to tail.

A relaxed open mouth gave it a little different look. Unfortunately I didnt get a good picture after the final blowout of the fur. It looked way better yet.

If you are looking for a bear taxidermist with all the Fall bear seasons starting around the country, don't hesitate to call. I take them shipped in frozen or dropped off.

Everyone knows I'm an advocate for Natural Resources and when I say "Enough is enough" I mean it! Here in the Midwest we have incredible water sources and the damage that is being done behind our backs isn't soon to stop if we don't work together for the common good. It is getting out of control that this is being allowed and the results are devastating. Stand up for what is right and help put an end to this.
