NOLA Scala & Second Street Station Kitchen & Bar are excited to announce that taking NOLA Scala place will be Kabooshi Lounge, a new concept from the team at Second Street Station. Kabooshi will bring together bold sushi, Japanese-inspired flavors, Texas personality, craft cocktails, and a fun, energetic atmosphere right here in Downtown Taylor.

After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to close NOLA Scala here in Taylor, TX.

This was not an easy choice, but the reality is that we simply do not have enough consistent business to keep the concept operational. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported NOLA Scala, dined with us, shared a meal, brought friends in, and gave the concept a chance. Your support has meant more than you know.

With that being said, this is not goodbye, but it is the beginning of something new.

We are excited to announce that taking its place will be Kabooshi Lounge, a new concept from the team at Second Street Station. Kabooshi will bring together bold sushi, Japanese-inspired flavors, Texas personality, craft cocktails, and a fun, energetic atmosphere right here in Downtown Taylor.

We have been listening, learning, and building something we believe will be a better fit for our community and our space. We cannot wait to share more details soon, including menu previews, opening updates, and a few surprises along the way.

Thank you again for supporting us through every chapter. We hope you will join us as we turn the page and bring Kabooshi Lounge at Second Street Station to life.

Upcoming Road work on 2nd St. & Main.

UPDATE: This road work will now begin in late July.

Beginning June 22, contractors will perform warranty work on 2nd Street from Davis Street to Main Street and on 4th Street from Main Street to the Taylor City Cemetery.

Crews will remove sealcoat from areas that are not performing as expected and apply a thin overlay mix to create a smoother driving surface.

Please use caution when driving through these areas.

What a great couple months we're about to have. World Cup, NBA Finals. NHL Finals, NCCA Baseball & Softball finals, 4th of July, 250th Celebration, all the water ways are filled up. Life's looking good! Come check out all the action with us this summer and enjoy some great food and drinks.
