A few months ago, I thought clinical trials were something doctors handled.
Then my husband's glioblastoma came back and this time a final number came with that...he had 18 months as is. I wouldn't accept that.
Suddenly I was sitting on my couch with MRI reports, pathology reports, surgery notes, insurance questions, and more tabs open than any human should ever have.
I quickly learned something nobody tells families:
Being told to "look into clinical trials" and actually navigating the process are two very different things.
I spent days building timelines, organizing records, finding contacts, researching trials, creating summaries, writing outreach emails, and learning what major cancer centers actually need to review a case.
What started as survival mode became a process.
This page exists because I've learned there are a lot of families sitting on their own couch feeling exactly as overwhelmed as I felt.
If I can help someone organize the chaos, prepare the questions, and take the next step, then something good can come from a very difficult season.
One step at a time.
