Make This Thanksgiving Unforgettable with Bryant’s Meat at the Table! 🍁🦃

As we gather with loved ones to celebrate gratitude, good food, and cherished traditions, Bryant’s Meat is proud to be a flavorful part of your holiday feast.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our hardworking team can enjoy this special day with their families.

From the ole smokehouse in Taylorsville, our locally made smoked sausage brings the authentic Mississippi flavor that makes every Thanksgiving recipe shine — whether it’s for breakfast, a savory side, or stirred right into the main dish.

This year, try something NEW and crowd-pleasing on your holiday table:

🍽✨ Bryant’s Smoked Sausage Harvest Skillet (New 2025 Recipe!)Ingredients:
1 lb Bryant’s Smoked Sausage, sliced into rounds
2 cups diced sweet potatoes
1 cup sliced Brussels sprouts
1 apple, diced (Honeycrisp or Gala)
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp thyme1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Maple drizzle (optional but amazing!)

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Toss sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, apple, and onion with olive oil, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Spread on a sheet pan and roast 20 minutes.
Add Bryant’s Smoked Sausage slices to the pan, toss gently, and roast another 15 minutes until caramelized.
Finish with a light maple drizzle for a perfect sweet-savory touch.
Serve warm and enjoy a skillet full of fall flavors — Mississippi style!

Bryant’s Meat will be closed Friday 9/26 as we say goodbye to Mr. Robert Hunt. Mr. Robert was a one of a kind soul, a man of few words; He loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He will be remembered, he will be missed. Please remember his family in your prayers for the days/weeks ahead.

Robert H. Hunt, Jr., 75, of Taylorsville, MS, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Guardian Angels in Laurel, MS. Born on April 23, 1950, in Lufkin, Texas, Robert was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Kaye Bryant Hunt; his son, Ryan Hunt and wife Amy; his daughter, Kerri Anne Clarke and husband Simon; and his cherished grandchildren, Blair Hunt, Baker Hunt, Barrett Hunt, and Layla Clarke. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Mike Bryant and wife Beverly, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Hunt, Sr.; his mother, Sible Duke Hunt; his brother, Stanley Darrell Hunt; and nephew, Bucky Bryant.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Summerland Baptist Church in Taylorsville, MS, followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Lake Park Hills Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. The services will be officiated by Bro. Eric Estes and Bro. Kyle Magee. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hunt, Baker Hunt, Barrett Hunt, Simon Clarke, Mike Bryant, Terry Grissom, Joe Hartzog, Joey Murray, Skyler Ladd, Brad Murray, and Kellen Burns.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to favorite charity or Laurel Animal Rescue League.
