🚨 BURN BAN REMINDER 🚨
Please be aware that just because we have to possibility to receive some rain does NOT mean we are automatically out of a burn ban.
Burn bans remain in effect until they are officially lifted by the appropriate county authority. Rainfall does not automatically cancel a burn ban.
Before doing any outdoor burning, please check the current burn ban status for your area.
A little rain can make things look better on the surface while underlying vegetation and ground conditions may still be dangerously dry.
When in doubt, don't burn. Help us prevent unnecessary fires and keep our community safe.

Earlier today Dew responded to assist with a ATV fire on county road 380. Upon arrival we found multilple hay bales on fire started by the ATV. The fire involved approx 50 rolls.
A good Samaritan stopped by with his trackhoe and assisted with spreading the bales to further extinguish.

Another one on the big road. I-45 @186 north bound. A great reason to wear your seatbelt. There were 8 occupants in this vehicle and all walked away with minor injuries.
Thanks to Teague FD for the mutual aid.
