The bear of all bears. This beauty was by far the largest I’ve tackled and she definitely put me to work. This is a six drawer dresser with two cabinet doors. There is a full mirror that is just gorgeous with lots of detail. The drawers are dovetailed and there is a shelf inside. Next, the two matching nightstands. Each has a drawer and a vanity sized mirror. The mirrors have been replaced as the original were cracked. New antique bronze hardware has been installed on both dresser and nightstands. The tops of each piece was stained in Jacobean as well as the outline of the large mirror. The body of the dresser and nightstands were painted in fusion mineral paint sacred sage. The inside of the mirrors outline was painted in sacred sage as well.

This is my dining room table. I did not like the heavy red varnish look and decided it was time to tackle it. I started with heavy stripping which was a couple day process. Then sanded down to the wood. The top was sponge stained with Kona and sealed. The frame and legs was painted with white chalk paint and covered with a clear wax coat.

Something old-turned new. I have had this dresser since I was a teen. It is a good quality pine dresser from Broyhill. I lightly sanded the whole dresser after cleaning all surfaces well with 220 grit sanding sponge. Then it was brush painted with fusion mineral paint little lamb. I removed the old hardware, filled the old holes and drilled new ones to prepare for new hardware to give this beauty the perfect facelift.

I purchased this table and did not realize it was not solid wood throughout until I started to work. The top of the table was a laminate. I had already decided on all my colors and the plan was to stain the top. The final product was produced by using a carbon grey stain as a paint, letting it dry, then with a sponge, lightly staining that surface with Kona stain. The frame, legs and chairs were painted in Behr cathedral grey. The cushions were reupholstered in an off white after several old layers of fabric were removed.

This is a piece I did for a customer. There is always a challenge when refinishing furniture and this piece was no exception. I did not pick it and once I got it and started to work, I realized it was not wood. It was MDF. Luckily she did not want it stained and instead chose a paint to match her bed frame. I knew that her bed frame was stained in an espresso and had a high gloss lacquer. So once I had finished spraying the credenza, with the bed frame in mind, I knew it was not going to have the same feel as she had chosen a semi gloss paint. I got a high gloss water based poly urethane to give it that high gloss look as well as seal it. She was very happy with the final product.

A beautiful classic and clean looking table. This table came with 8 chairs and a leaf. It was solid rubber wood. Very heavy snd sturdy. It had been very loved and was significantly worn. The seats needed new fabric desperately and the top had lots of scratches including nail polish. It was sanded down completely including each chair. The table top was stained with special walnut and sealed. The legs and all chairs were painted with Behr cathedral grey. An off white fabric was reupholstered to the chairs and it became the beauty it once was.

Some treasures are found in the most unexpected places. That was the case with this beauty. I picked it up at a consignment shop. As I started to work on it and get it sanded down, not only was it solid oak throughout, the wood piece on top was tigers grain. I stained it lightly with Jacobean and sealed. The body I painted in fusion mineral paint bayberry and sealed. The original hardware was real brass so I simply cleaned it with brasso and put it back on. The inside I stained in a golden oak. What a beauty.

This entry way or console table was completely sanded down and refinished to give it a beachy farmhouse coastal look. It was originally painted all black. It was a beautiful solid oak wood with gorgeous grain. To accentuate this, I stained the top with a Jacobean and the legs were painted in a highland blue milk paint. It makes a great statement piece for any dining room or front room.
