tDAR is a product of The Center for Digital Antiquity, a research center affiliated with Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. tDAR is a product of Digital Antiquity, a research center affiliated with Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Digital Antiquity is a collaborative non-profit organization devoted to enhancing preservation of and access to irreplaceable archaeological records

and data. Digital Antiquity supports archaeological research, resource management, education, and public outreach by providing new and innovative ways of finding, managing, preserving, and using archaeological information. Archaeologists, computer scientists, and information management experts have created Digital Antiquity with two basic goals. One is to improve substantially the ease of accessing and using archaeological information. The other, equally important, is to provide for the long-term preservation of the irreplaceable records of archaeological investigations.

The National Maritime Heritage Grants Program (NMHGP) is now accepting applications for National Maritime Heritage Preservation Grants and National Maritime Heritage Education Grants. $3 million is available for FY24 National Maritime Heritage Grants for the National Maritime Heritage Grants Program. National Maritime Heritage Grants are administered by the National Park Service's National Maritime Heritage Program in partnership with the Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration. Grant projects are intended to help preserve our historic maritime resources and to promote and educate the public about America's extensive maritime heritage legacy.

Preservation Grants are available for $100,000 - $750,000.

Education Grants are available for $50,000 - $250,000.

Eligible applicants include:
- The 59 State Historic Preservation Offices to include each of the 50 states, the 5 territories, the District of Columbia, and the 3 Freely Associated States of Micronesia for in-house projects and/or subgrant programs.
- The National Trust for Historic Preservation
